A SMART goal can be used to measure success in both our personal or professional lives. S.M.A.R.T is an acronym that helps us to clearly define goals, as well as reach them more successfully. SMART is defined as goals that are specific, measurable, actionable, results-driven, and time-based. S – Specific- Is the What, When, Who, When, Why and How M – Measurable-Is short-term goals that are meaningful and progress is track-able A – Actionable-Is challenging, but achievable or attainable R – Results-Driven- Is the steps that measure your relevance and presents the outcome T – Time-Based- Is the month, date, and year the goal will be achieved Now that you understand the SMART model… Let’s work on your wonderful new venture! Goals can be powerful when we set them correctly. I would say that I’m an extremely goal-oriented person. However, in the past, I can admit that I lacked the motivation to effectively map out my goals step-by-step. It’s one thing to “think” about what we want to achieve, and it’s another thing when we “write” what we want to achieve. Writing down your goals is a great way to see our visions more clearly. You’ll also notice that when you write them down, you and your team will be more motivated to take-action. Whether you’re just starting out in business, or even in the early stages of growth, this tool will help you think smarter and be more productive in your day-to-day structure. Using the SMART model, you’ll be on your way towards success in no time! In business, I believe that it’s all about strategy and planning, which is what will ultimately determine the success and longevity of any business. Alright now friends…It’s time to Launch! When your planning your first event, the possibilities are endless! Identifying what you want your theme to be is the fun part, however, the theme should be interpreted in a way that can generate buzz and get your community excited about what's to come! Depending on the type of event you are planning, it's going to be essential that you develop a master plan to establish what your goals and objectives are for the big day. So to start, I want you to draft up a check list to determine the purpose of your event. I've listed a few ideas below to get started! What is your event’s purpose? How many attendees are you seeking to have? What is your budget? How much will tickets cost? Will you offer refunds? How much profit would you like to make in return? Where will your event be located? What is the selected date of your event? Backup dates? Also, if you're goal is to go big with your event, you may also need to incorporate room rentals for hotels if your guests are traveling to you from various cities, equipment and speaker fee's.
